The San Diego Housing Commission operates the HIPP (Housing Instability Prevention Program). The HIPP is a program that helps families who are at a risk of being unhoused or have low-income, they help pay rent and housing-related expenses by providing financial assistance for about 24 months. Many colleges offer an EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) that students who are of low-income or educationally disadvantaged (and eligible), can get academic support, financial support, and improve access at getting into higher education. You must complete the FAFSA before!!
